Ripping 3d Models

There are a few ways to do this.

NifSkope (link) targetted mainly to cryengine based games

3D Ripper DX – http://www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm
This program works with Direct X 8 and works extremely well with Emulators like Dolphin which is a emulator for Wii and Gamecube games. There are also Emulators for the first XBOX which this program also works with as long as you have Direct X 8 you can use this program it will not work with newer versions of Direct X.

3D VIA Printscreen – http://www.3dvia.com/products/3dvia-printscreen/
This program works the same way as 3D Ripper DX except for that it does’nt matter what version of Direct X you use. I am still learning with this program so I will teach here as I learn myself.

Prusa v1 failure again!!

You know, there is a valid reason the prusa has a second version. I finally ordered some linear bearing to replace the brass bushings for the z. My Z decided to bind up and not want to slide anymore. In my frustraction to try and make it move, my X idler broke. So I have a friend printing me a v2 replacement for that and the motor mount, and I’ll just go ahead and replace the y brass bushings as well. They might have been a good idea in the beginning, but the linear bearings are truly the way to go. You can get them off ebay from suppliers for about 12 for $20. Or at least that’s what I got them for. You can order them from china cheaply, but you will have to wait for them to come in.

Bottom line, don’t be in a hurry and you can get things much cheaper. I’m in a hurry though, so I’m $20 lighter. On a bright note, my prusa is forcing me to upgrade.  One part at a time.

Arcol v4 Hot End

Well I have an Arcol v4 hotend coming. We’ll see if it lives up the hype.  The JHead so far does nothing for me but leak.  This is two in a row that leak at the brass fitting.  This last time I used teflon tape on it to keep it from doing so, and it still started to leak.

So if you want to order an arcol you can get it from here:
